{"id":141,"date":"2017-07-06T01:23:38","date_gmt":"2017-07-06T01:23:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.realworldconsulting.kiwi\/rwc\/?p=141"},"modified":"2018-05-30T19:56:51","modified_gmt":"2018-05-30T19:56:51","slug":"communication-the-elixir-of-human-suffering-and-the-glue-which-strengthens-relationships","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.realworldconsulting.kiwi\/rwc\/rwc-blog\/communication-the-elixir-of-human-suffering-and-the-glue-which-strengthens-relationships\/","title":{"rendered":"Communication: the Elixir of Human Suffering and the Glue Which Strengthens Relationships"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">In my experience, it is poor\/ ambiguous\/ lack of\/ untimely communication which remains the single biggest reason why organizations of all shape\/ size\/ orientation\/ industry affiliation become semi or fully dysfunctional\u2026.or instead (at the other end of the scale) become magnificent.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Without question, students must develop outstanding communication skills \u2013 oral and written \u2013 to only then enjoy positive functional relationships (both in a work context and in other areas of their lives)&#8230;and a good amount of success in their lives. I am particularly concerned about young peoples\u2019 inability (or unwillingness) to hold a verbal conversation these days. We need to be mindful of the essential need to foster close relationships with others through verbal conversations. There is a chapter in my first book on this topic.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Leaders simply cannot lead unless they have well developed communication skills. In the Foreword of my second book (which concentrates on building and managing successful franchise operations) that I have just finished writing I purposely deliver the blunt message that unless a Franchisor, directors or the appointed senior CEO\/ GM are natural and strong communicators then it isn&#8217;t advisable that they venture down the Franchise route.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">If you don&#8217;t know&#8230;then ask.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">If you know&#8230;then share.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">If you have an opinion&#8230;then be forthcoming in sharing it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">If you are a leader&#8230;then be the most exceptional communicator you know.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In my experience, it is poor\/ ambiguous\/ lack of\/ untimely communication which remains the single biggest reason why organizations of all shape\/ size\/ orientation\/ industry affiliation become semi or fully dysfunctional\u2026.or instead (at the other end of the scale) become magnificent.
