These choices range from:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">a) Getting out of bed in the morning to go to work or to perform some other activity, versus sleeping-in.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">b) Having a nourishing breakfast, versus skipping breakfast either in reaction to some advertisement designed to make people feel guilty about eating in order to look lean, or because of time pressures.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">c) Getting to work on time &#8211; versus being late for work due to choosing to attend to some other activity on the way to work.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">d) &#8230;and even an attitude of &#8220;I will&#8221; make sure that I do XYZ today, versus &#8220;I&#8217;ll try&#8221; and make time to do XYZ today.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>More often than not an attitude of &#8220;I&#8217;ll try&#8221; will amount to no action being taken at all<\/strong><\/span>. &#8220;I&#8217;ll try&#8221; really only amounts to &#8220;good intentions&#8221;. It also signals that the person communicating this expression is not fully committed to making the given decision\/ performing the action required.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">&#8220;<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>I will<\/strong><\/span>&#8221; people are typically:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">People who keep their word, and carry-out actions as per what they promise\/ verbalise (i.e. they &#8220;walk the talk&#8221;).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Fully committed to doing what they say they will do.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Self-confident, and back themselves (i.e. know their own capabilities\/ strengths).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Determined.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">People who can be relied upon.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Prepared to be held accountable for their decisions\/ actions.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Which are you &#8211; a &#8220;Trier&#8221; or a &#8220;Doer&#8221; ? Which type of person would you prefer to have by your side &#8211; someone who expresses good intentions to perform a particular activity, or someone who gets on and gets the job done ?<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Every day life challenges us to make decisions and take action.
